The New Democrat Gun Platform Is Everything You Feared

There is a new reality in America. Even while Republicans control two-and-a-half branches of the federal government, we’re still on the back foot. The blue wave might not have been the tsunami we were promised, but it was enough to cause trouble. As soon as the left gained control in legislation, stocks tanked. Fighting for the economy will now be an uphill battle, but it’s actually not the worst news we have today.

The bigger problem is the impending assault on our freedom. The Democrat majority won’t actually have power for another month and change, but when the switch happens, they are going to do everything they can to limit your freedom and assure their continued control of the government. They said as much in their victory speeches.

The New Wave

The new platform on gun control is mostly under the leadership of newly elected Democrat Representatives. Every single one received an ‘F’ grade from the NRA, and they have made many a speech explaining how gun control will be the very first item of business for them in January.

Keep in mind that 15 of these first-time Representatives unseated Republicans who have long supported the 2nd Amendment. It’s a major swing in Congress on the issue.

In fact, the last two times the Democrats had a strong majority in the House, the majority of them were not big proponents of gun control It’s why gun laws didn’t change, and those Representatives took a lot of flak from their liberal base.

It’s also important to note how this swing happened. Even while the Democrats were crying to take money out of politics, they received tens of millions in private funding from big-time donors like Michael Bloomberg. In the 15 races just mentioned, Bloomberg alone outspent the entire Republican coalition of 2nd Amendment supporters that includes both the NRA and the Gun Owners of America. Unfortunately, our country is in a state that a single billionaire was able to buy a House majority.

Hitting the Ground Running

When we say gun control will be the first item of business in January, we mean it. Proposals have already been drawn to push for universal background checks. That’s something that sounds nice to the uninformed, but it’s actually a means to track gun sales between private parties. If you wanted to buy a gun for your wife or child, the Democrats will be working to make that illegal.

More importantly, universal background checks can’t function without a more sinister piece of legislation: gun registration. If guns aren’t registered to owners, you have no physical means of tracking private sales. Mainstream media will try to hide this point, but a push for universal background checks is, in effect, a push for a national gun registry. We all know where this leads.

It’s All about Politics

The virtue signaling is appalling. Every member of this anti-gun coalition will claim they are trying to save lives. This is in spite of the overwhelming evidence that suggests modern gun-control laws are actually contributing to homicide. Regardless, the virtue signaling is a lie. This is all about political control.

The last time Democrats controlled the House, they used that power to abuse government agencies in attacks on Republicans. Have you forgotten the IRS targeting scandal already? When they controlled the White House, they used it to attack opposing candidates. That’s what a gun registration is really about. It’s one more weapon they can use to try and seize power. They’ve been clamoring for a revolution since Trump won, and this is fully intended to be the first “shot” fired in that fight.

Let’s recap this, because it’s even scarier than it sounds. Michael Bloomberg purchased 15 new seats in the House. His puppets are already working on legislation that will require every citizen the country to register all of those weapons, and that registration is fully intended to be a means of attacking Republicans. This is the current state of the union.

Right now, only a very thin majority in the Senate stands between us and this new reality. You should be scared. You should be motivated. The only way to protect our future is to attack the lies of the left at every opportunity. Share this and stories like it far and wide. Anything less will fail.
