Even the ACLU is Condemning California’s New Gun Law

California just signed a new red flag law into being. Sigh…the state is already known for its far left policies, and now they are moving EVEN FURTHER to the left with this new law. Here’s what is say:

California already has the strictest gun laws in the country. They also have multiple means to “legally” confiscate firearms, but that wasn’t enough for the deepest blue state in the Union.

This bill we’re discussing is formal law in California. It was signed by the governor. It’s important to remember that.

To cut through all of the mumbo jumbo, the law adds provisions for non-family members to signal a red flag. That red flag constitutes probable cause for law enforcement to enter a person’s home and seize their firearms.

To be clear: any red flag law is frightening, but most of them require flag waivers to be extremely close to the accused. Namely, they have to share a home and usually be immediate family.

This new law extends flag-waving privileges to teachers, co-workers and bosses. That’s insanely aggressive. A boss can retaliate against a subordinate by having the police kick in their door and seize their means of self-defense. Or a teacher against a parent…especially a parent of a special needs or one that disagrees with the teachers punishments for their child. That’s beyond draconian; it’s dangerous.

Jerry Brown was the previous governor of California, he HATED President Trump and ANY republican idea to his core, and even he vetoed this bill. You know you’ve gone off the leftist deep end when Governor Brown thinks you’re crazy.

The same could be said of the ACLU. While they haven’t announced a formal law suite, they have publicly denounced the law. According to the ACLU, this law extends too much power to people who have a weak relationship with the accused. Co-workers and bosses are ill-equipped to know who should and shouldn’t have a firearm.

That’s pretty big of the ACLU. It comes a far cry short of the real truth, but at least they acknowledge that some limits exist in gun control.

In reality, the only people who have any right to say you shouldn’t have a firearm are your parents or spouse — and only when you live under their roof and rules. This law is a gross violation of freedom. More than that, it’s a red flag in and of itself.

The left will come for your guns. The days of shyly pretending that they only want common sense laws are gone. “Beto” O’Rourke admitted the truth, the left will come after your guns by any means necessary. They’re tired of waiting. They want to disarm you so you won’t have the means to resist the dictatorship they’re trying to install with this coup against President Trump.

It’s time we all live by the old adage. There is only one way they’re getting our guns, and they won’t like it.
