The truth is, in the dark, a flashlight will probably save more lives than your firearm. If for no other reason, it’s because it allows you to identify non-threats. Imagine this scenario: you’re walking to your car in the dark and you see a figure hunched near the tire. At least 99 times out of a hundred, that shadowy figure is just looking for something they dropped. Do you think it’s better to point a flashlight or a gun at them? Seems like a good argument for having a light that isn’t mounted to your weapon.

And I’m not talking here Afghanistan or Iraq, just a pitch dark parking lot in Everytown, USA! Try to put that spot light in the face of an assailant, and , even if he doesn’t want to kill you, he will put a bullet in your head! It’s called “unconditional reflex” . He will do it without thinking, because he’s perceiving it as a threat, and if not all of us, most of us are wired that way by thousands of years of evolution.
But, it seems “experts” found a way around that, of course in order to make a sale! Your life be damned after you input the credit card # !…
